Welcome to The Collective, Performa Dance Co.'s competitive dance team based in Nelson, B.C.. Our team is committed to excellence and artistry across various dance styles and provides a platform for dedicated dancers to showcase their skills, compete in multiple events, and grow as performers. 

 

Our program emphasizes technical proficiency, creative expression, and team camaraderie. Dancers in The Collective receive top-tier training and the opportunity to be part of an inspiring community.​

Auditions - June 27, 2025

@ Front Street Dance Studio

3:30 - 4:30 - ages 10 - 14

4:30 - 5:30 - ages 14 - 17

​

Dancers age 7 - 9 are not required to audition, but must

register by July 1st.

 

Junior Company

Ages 7 - 10

 2 - 3 group dances

Attends 2 - 3 competitions and festivals.

Intermediate Company

Ages 11+

No age limit - based on commitment level

3 - 4 group dances

Attends 4 - 5 competitions and festivals

Intermediate Accelerated Company

Ages 11+

No age limit - based on commitment & ability levels

3 - 5 group dances

Attends 4 - 5 competitions and festivals

Must have 1 year dance experience

Senior Company

Ages 14+

No age limit - based on commitment and ability levels

4 - 6 group dances

Attends 5-6 competitions and festivals

Must have 2 years dance experience

Senior Accelerated Company

Ages 14+

No age limit - based on commitment & ability levels

4 - 7 group dances

Attends 5-6 competitions and festivals

Must have 2 years dance experience

 

* We require a minimum of 4 dancers of similar age and ability to form a team.​​ Depending on the demographics and abilities of registrants, we may move dancers from one team to another, or adjust the age requirements for one or more teams.
